  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

  • Prepare the tortellini according to the instructions on the package. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are tender.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the cubed beef steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until the beef is browned.
  • Next, stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the cooked tortellini to the skillet. Toss everything together to combine.
  • Sprinkle the provolone cheese over the mixture and cover the skillet until the cheese melts.
  • Serve the dish hot, optionally garnishing with extra cheese.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, try adding minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet when sautéing the onions. You can also customize this recipe by using different types of pasta or substituting the beef steak with chicken or sausage.
